Scoop of the day goes to Quartz with “Box Has Secretly Filed For An IPO”. In what appears to be a single source story, it is speculated that the company will target a $500 million raise later this year.
It is interesting to note a huge spike in iTunes rankings for the company’s mobile offering, which coincides with the recent 50GB offering to any mobile user who signs up in the next month. Looks like the promotion may be working (login to Mattermark Pro to see more Box growth signals):
