Summer 2013 Startup Investment Summary
- 1231 deals, just 29 shy of the 1260 recorded last summer.
- June was a huge month for early stage. 307 Pre Series A, 131 Series A and 71 Series B deals – made it the largest summer month for rounds of those stages in the past 7 years. In contrast, July and August fell to pre Summer 2011 levels.
- Late stage rounds (Series D+) reached an all time high of 73, beating last year’s high of 60 – a 22% increase.
