Mattermark provides data, research, and analysis to help startup investors identify the most promising companies. Our research analyst program is designed to fully immerse you in the world of venture capital and technology startups. You will work closely with our analyst team to solve problems related to data collection, organization and analysis.
In order to accurately quantify the growth signals of private companies, Mattermark relies heavily on both algorithmic data analysis and highly curated research. Candidates can expect, if selected, to perform the following tasks:
- Researching companies online and over the phone
- Organizing information into spreadsheets
- Performing quality assurance audits on existing data sets
Who Can Apply
Our analyst role is for candidates committed to learning as much as possible about venture capital and startups. Candidates, if chosen, will be expected to work out of our San Francisco office. Remote candidates will not be considered.
Required Skills
- Fluency in Excel, familiarity with formulas and macros is a plus
- A background in finance is ideal, but not required
