July 2013 Mattermark Startup Index – Top 20 Startups by Stage of Investment

Posted in Startup Index: by .

These companies have the highest Mattermark Scores in our database, meaning that according to our measurements they are achieving consistent and meaningful week-over-week growth across several factors we are tracking including web traffic, mobile usage, social media, hiring, fundraising and product adoption. Some of them you may recognize, others are international or just hitting their stride. Let us know what you think.

*Some pre-funding companies may not be startups, it can be difficult to tell. Please let us know if we’ve made a mistake in the comments.

Editors Note:¬†We have excluded companies founded more than 10 years ago (which unfortunately removes Wargaming.net from the list, even though they’re on a tear and taking off right now in the eGaming world!) unless they have taken a round of venture funding in the past 3 years. Generally startups by our definition refer to high growth companies that will likely raise outside funding, or if they are bootstrapped toward some eventual exit (IPO or M&A).
